Get Involved in the Clean Water & Sanitation Program

Access to clean water and proper sanitation is a fundamental human right. At JackBuh Foundation, we are dedicated to improving water access and hygiene practices in underserved communities in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Our Clean Water & Sanitation Program focuses on providing sustainable water solutions, improving sanitation facilities, and promoting hygiene education. Here’s how you can get involved and help create lasting change:

Donate for Clean Water & Sanitation Projects

Your donations help fund critical projects that provide safe drinking water and sanitation facilities to communities in Congo. Here’s how you can help:

  • Provide Clean Water: A $100 donation helps install a hand pump for a community well, providing access to clean water for 100+ people.
  • Sanitation Solutions: With $250, you can help build a basic sanitation facility (latrines) for a community, significantly improving hygiene and health.
  • Water Filtration Systems: A $500 donation helps fund the installation of water filtration systems to ensure safe, potable water for schools, clinics, and households.

Fundraise for Clean Water & Sanitation

Raising funds for our Clean Water & Sanitation Program helps us expand our reach and implement more projects. Here are some ways you can get involved:

  • Host a Fundraising Event: Organize a local event such as a walk/run, benefit dinner, silent auction, or community fundraiser to raise funds for our clean water initiatives.
  • Crowdfunding Campaign: Set up a personal crowdfunding page to support a specific project, such as building a water well or installing latrines. Share your page with friends and family to increase awareness and encourage donations.
  • Corporate Fundraising: Partner with businesses to host corporate-sponsored fundraising events or donation matching campaigns to increase impact.

Donate Water Filtration Equipment and Supplies

Your company or community can help by donating the necessary equipment to improve access to clean water:

  • Water Filters & Purifiers: Donate or sponsor the purchase of water filtration systems that remove contaminants and provide safe drinking water.
  • Water Storage Tanks: Help fund the purchase of water storage tanks that allow communities to store clean water safely for long-term use.

Volunteer for Water and Sanitation Projects

We need dedicated volunteers to help with water and sanitation initiatives:

  • Field Volunteers: Join our teams on the ground in Congo to help install water pumps, build latrines, and educate communities about proper sanitation and hygiene practices.
  • Construction Volunteers: If you have experience in construction or civil engineering, assist with the building of water infrastructure such as wells, boreholes, or latrines.
  • Awareness and Education: Help spread awareness about the importance of sanitation and clean water by organizing educational sessions in local communities or schools. Volunteer to teach hygiene practices such as hand-washing, safe water collection, and waste management.

Corporate Sponsorship and Partnerships

Businesses and corporations can play a major role in addressing water and sanitation needs in Congo. Here’s how your company can help:

  • Sponsorship Opportunities: Sponsor clean water projects, such as funding the drilling of a new well or constructing sanitation facilities in a specific village or town.
  • In-Kind Donations: Provide the necessary materials for water filtration, well drilling, or sanitation infrastructure. Companies in the water, construction, or hygiene sectors can offer equipment, supplies, or expertise.
  • Employee Engagement: Involve employees in volunteer opportunities or organize company-wide fundraising campaigns to support clean water initiatives.

Raise Awareness

Help us spread the word about the water crisis in Congo and the work we are doing:

  • Use your social media platforms to share our clean water initiatives and raise awareness about the need for safe drinking water and sanitation facilities in Congo.
  • Develop awareness campaigns in schools, universities, or local organizations to educate others about the importance of clean water and sanitation and how they can help.
